Today's the day ....................... to sort the pantry

I just want you all to know - that I am completely exhausted. The trouble with all this Cumbrian rain is that you have no excuse for not getting on with all those inside jobs on the 'to do' list and today - it was sorting out the pantry.

The pantry has undergone huge changes in the past few days. Joiner son, Tim came and put in a few new shelves for me. Will emulsioned the walls and covered all the shelves with new fablon stuff (they don't call it that now - so if you know what that is - you must be as old as me?!). All I had to do was put everything back in.

But there was so much of it. It took me hours to decide what should go where, what should not come back in because it shouldn't have been there in the first place and what was SO past its sell-by date that it was probably lethal (2004 was the oldest date I came across). In the end, I completely lost all powers of decision-making about anything. Will had to physically remove me from the pantry where I was sitting in a bemused state and give me a glass of chilled white.

I'm sure I used to do things like this without any trouble .............?!
