Gulls

Today's the day ..................... to screech

What's the collective noun for a group of gulls? It ought to be something like a grab or a garrotte - something that involves a lot of noise, beating of wings and opportunistic stealing.

I passed a young couple with a toddler in a pushchair on the riverbank and they were feeding the seagulls with bits of bread. Within seconds, dozens of birds appeared from nowhere and a mob riot began. The poor child looked scared to death but the parents assured me that Morecambe gulls were much more vicious?!

How about a screech or a squabble ................?
