Globe thistle

Today's the day ........................ to get it right

I blipped this plant last August in a bit of a rush, without checking it out very carefully - and I got it all wrong.

I said that it was an Eryngium or sea holly but fortunately gladders stopped by and ever so gently put me right. So now I am quite sure that it is an Echinops or globe thistle!

It's an ongoing learning experience - this blipping lark ......................
