The black swan

Today's the day ............................ to see the exotic

This one has to be for my blip friend Mrs F - who first introduced me to this exotic creature on the pages of her journal.

Of course, it's not very exotic where she lives. In fact, I believe it would be much more unusual to see a white swan in New Zealand - but for me today, to see it on the River Kent in the middle of Kendal, it was so exciting!

It was all on its own in the sunshine - feeding on weed on the river bed - and quite oblivious to all the attention it was receiving from people walking along the riverside .......................
