Watercolour Will

Today's the day ....................... to be abandoned

I've just dropped Will off at Burgundy's  Wine Bar - where he usually goes on a Thursday night - and he will no doubt have a lovely time, painting the jazz musicians and enjoying the usual banter with the regulars.

I could have gone too but really it's his  place and that's absolutely fine with me.  No - the reason I'm feeling a bit miffed is that he's left me to cope with his enormous pan of green tomato chutney - that has been smelling the house out for hours and is likely to be ready for bottling in half an hour or so.

So my plans for the evening have taken a decided turn for the worse ........................
