Small Tortoiseshell

Today's the day ........................... to warm up

Temperatures definitely were up in the mid-teens here today - and it was very pleasant to be outside.

This Tortoiseshell butterfly appeared from nowhere and settled for a few minutes on the ivy.  It had a bit of a sunbathe and then fluttered off about its business ...........................
