Today's the day ……………………….. for a small celebration

Anyone with a birthday that has happened since March, has had to be content with a very low key celebration.  There have been no special dispensations for anything on a grand scale even if that's what the celebrant would like.  That's just how it is. 

Today it was Anna's birthday, so we went round to wish her many happy returns - and had some of her birthday cake that Rob had made.  I'm not sure whether or not she would have liked a big party.  She and Rob are having an Indian Takeaway tonight - at her request - and I'm afraid that's as big as it's going to get ……………………….!
