The Aubergine and the Cucumber

These two homegrown beauties were given to us today by friends Brian and Jacqui, who called in for a cup-of-tea-in-the-garden this afternoon.  They had no idea, of course, that today was our wedding anniversary - and so they became an anniversary gift at the same time.

We usually go out for a meal on our anniversary - but with all the current Covid19 restrictions in place, that has become nigh on impossible.  So I think we'll be rustling up something in-house - and the above might be playing a part.

Hopefully, it will be a different story next year ………………….
