Mr Pheasant

Today's the day ..................…. for a coat of many colours

This was another regular, that was noticeably absent yesterday when I was doing the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch.

And he was missed - because Mr Pheasant is practically one of the family.  It always lifts the spirits when you see him and his fantastic feathery coat-of-many-colours, strutting about the garden as if he owned the place.  It would have taken the full spectrum of paints in the paint box to create that magnificent design and he's happy to show it off.

He is particularly beloved of grandson Dominic who, of course, has not been able to see him for some considerable time.  So this blip is for him, just to let him see that Mr Pheasant is in fine fettle.  We'll keep an eye on him (or is it the other way round) until such time as it's possible for Dominic to visit ………………..!
