Eswatini
Today's the day ..................... to fly the flag
It was the combined persuasive powers of my sister Marj and good friend Roma that persuaded us to try Worldle - and, of course, now we're hooked.
It must come from the same stable as Wordle but in this case you start with the outline of a country and you have five guesses to work out which country it is. After each guess you are told the distance and the direction from your guess to the target country - and an indication of how right your guess is. It is very addictive - and has now become part of our day.
It has made me realise how little I know about the geography of the world - despite the fact that back in the mists of time, geography was one of my specialist subjects?! I usually have to resort to my ancient school atlas, which isn't a great deal of help because countries have changed their boundaries - and their names since it was published.
I've learnt such a lot since we started doing this and if we come upon a country which is really fascinating, well, of course, we have to buy the flag and fly it from the flagpole. So here is our featured flag today - the gorgeously colourful flag of the Kingdom of Eswatini (or as it used to be called, according to my atlas - Swaziland) ........................!
