Settled

AKHF and mv arrived on the train from Palma. We'd done a bit of shopping in my spotty wheely trolley in preparation. We loaded the bags and set off up the mountain. Veronica showed us round briefly and we were in! 15 minutes behind Biniariatx up a steep and twisty private road is the most beautiful property, Can Pera, fully equiped for a perfect break. We were greeted by crickets, hens and donkeys. Oh the donkeys - what a pitiful cry - Tomas and Julietta became a big part of our days. Would they accept our offerings? It became personal.

An outside kitchen became my greatest joy, apart from reading on the terrace in the early morning, a swim in the lovely stone swimming pool, a game of petanca, a walk up the terraces, chatting round the table into the early hours after the boys had flopped into bed....
