At last!
One word to describe today's weather: glorious.
Today's blip is pretty poor quality, but is the next step in a mini saga: I refer you here and here.
At the gym, noticed some birds fishing under the bridge - at least one was a shag, couldn't tell the others, but as soon as I'd finished my pathetic excuse for a work-out, I grabbed the camera, fitted the zoom lens and went for a look.
And saw not one, not two, but three Great Crested Grebes. Took dozens of shots in the space of about 2 minutes, they were quite far out hence the poor quality of this example. Very exciting (for me, anyway....)
Got home and whittled the dozens down to 18 or so, then 10, then 3 - getting pretty ruthless these days! In the process, discovered there were at least 4, maybe 5 Grebes - one appeared in two of the (discarded) shots with a fish in its mouth, just about distinguishable!
Along with yesterday's Shelduck and waders (not featuring in that photo, which I backblipped), a thriving seal population and our dolphin pod which visits in the summer, it all points to a very clean and healthy Tay. Well done Mary (a joke which only three other people in the world will understand, none of whom are on Blip as far as I know, and all of who have probably forgotten it).
Well, that's a long entry. And three self-linkages. Maybe got carried away....
