Shaman

On the way back to UB, we stopped by the roadside as there was a Shaman ceremony taking place. It was fascinating, but also a bit scary as it was so very alien from anything I'd experienced before - lots of speaking in tongues and flinging about of milk. Glad we saw it though and this is one of my favourite photos from the trip.

I didn't take to UB though - seemed like all of its population were out on the roads at the same time and any surface was fair game to drive on, whether that be pavements, road or just open ground. Traffic lights and road signals were viewed as decoration - all of which made crossing the road a tad scary and I adopted the safety in numbers approach of latching onto a group of locals and cross with them.
