Rhododendron

At night the temp is still below zero! But this morning you could see what you'd almost forget. We were honored by the presence of Lady Sunshine.

And here's what I saw in my early-mornin'-garden. One, yes one, bud on the rhododendron. As you can see, a bit wheather-beaten, the outer petals of the bud full of tension to keep the flower petals inside. But there will be a burstin'out of pink color one of these days!
