Why I don't like tapioca.

On the lookout for something blipworthy down by the pond this afternoon, I noticed that the frogs have been busy in the past few days! Our pond is now full of spawn - literally billions of potential froglets but, unfortunately for them, only a handful are destined to even make it to tadpole stage. I could hear the adults but they were too well-camouflaged to see - hard to believe they can produce so much spawn in so short a time. Just as well they don't have to look after them once this job is done - that would be a lot of mouths to feed!

We should have tadpoles in 3-4 weeks so I'll keep an eye out for them.
