knockout-mouse
this sweet little fellow was a respected guest on the attic above my bedroom. then it became a slightly annoying guest in my bedroom behind my stereo. and yesterday it got way too courageous, running through my bedroom, while we were watching tv. not once, but all the evening.
as sweet as it was, that went a little too far.
so we set up two traps: jonas developed a bucket with a "ramp" made out of ruler and cheese on the end of it, placed on a piece of cardboard. it was supposed to bend over by the weight of the mouse, making it fall into the bucket.
i re-made a simple trap my father used to build before he created his really sophisticated plexiglass-trap: it's a pencil standing on top of a peanut underneath a tupperware box. i chose the box big enough to make sure the mouse isn't hurt by the box falling down.
it literally (!) took 2 minutes and the mouse was caught.
brought the poor guy to the botanical garden. hope, he's okay...
the photo was done in quite a rush, i didn't want to keep the mouse longer in his trap as necessary...
