Storm over Eigg

Quite a storm last night with a lot of noise but luckily enough no damage and as you can see, lots of squalls around the islands. Off to the beach again but no otters this time. I'm getting more convinced it's the state of the tide that's important. In a high tide they can fish for small fish near the shore but in a low tide they can hunt the shore line and still see any approaching danger.

We had a surprise visit from our ex-postman John. He's an artist and self builder. It's the Highlands so people tend to do lots of things to bring in an income. John's just finished building a beautiful extension to his house - all timber and stone and is doing a wee job for us. He's fairly taken with Blip so it looks as if he's a contributor -in -waiting.
