Quilt Show
It seems I was destined to go to this quilt show! Earlier this week one of my students (thanks, nancy!) mentioned in an email that there was a Quilt show this weekend, nearby in Sarasota, Florida, organized by The Friendship Knot Quilters' Guild. I was considering going by myself when my husband told me a friend of him had asked if he would like to help with the work of "taking down" a quilt show. This friend's wife Helen was showing a quilt . . . where? At The Friendship Knot Quilters' Guild!
My next question was, "Can I help take the quilts down too?"
We had a very good time, even though we were put to work. : ) Pictured here is the quilt done by Helen Lucas (and her friends -it's a collaborative work) at The Friendship Knot Quilters' Guild show. I've used Photoshop to layer enlargements of the fish and the information about the quilt. My husband stood in front of it so you could see the size -wow! There were some amazing quilts there. My friend Frieda would have enjoyed -so sorry the snow kept her from going to a similar meeting in Scotland!
