Zoo #3: Two Cute

...Baby hippos have got to be the prime draw at Copenhagen Zoo at the moment. If you check out my zoofolio you can see The whole family. This is part of a brand new enclosure which is most impressive. In this section there is a glass front so you can see them underwater (if they swim close enough). I took this shot over the top of the glass using the Sony flap-down screen and auto-aperture mode (first time I've used any of the auto settings). What amazed me was that next to me was a woman with a high end camera, a huge professional lens (you know, one of them 'effin huge grey things) and a monopod. Thing was, she was pointing through the glass - that may be the way when there's no other choice but I think my cheap shot here may be clearer.

I took a particular interest in the cameras people were sporting and was quite jealous at points (I want a D7000) as mine was the cheapest I saw, it makes me curious as to what they shot though, when I saw several schoolboy errors. I really wanted to run up to them and give them some sort of business card with "Blipfoto.com" printed on them.

In March the zoo closes at 16:00 during the week (which is when I finish work), so unless I'm on the skive I can only Blip weekends for the rest of this month (phew, I hear you all say). But just because all shots still seem unique to me I would like you to meet Mr. Otter

Edit: Good grief ... you gota see this large.
