Xyloglyphy (only according to Wikipedia, though!)
This is the head of a life-size, full-length wood carving of a beautiful lady we pass on the way to horseriding. Today was the first time I've dared leap out and take a picture as I'm pretty sure the talented person who made it would rather I bought it instead. And, as you can see, I also learned a new word!
Another couple of firsts today as well, as two of the children took their first tumbles from their horses. Seemed to be some sort of chain reaction - one fell, then another. Even the other two children had a bit of a wobble. Although they'd obviously had a bit of a shock, the two who fell did very well to get straight back on and carry on. Hopefully they'll wake up tomorrow with nothing bruised except their egos!
Note: Pah - that's the last time I trust Wikipedia! :-D
