Magnolia @bbc_springwatch #UKspring

Magnolias always remind me of Spring. Around this time of year we have a week in Keswick. One of our favourite things is to walk from the cottage in the evening along Springs Road. On one side of the road are splendid views of Castlehead Wood and Derwentwater. On the other are large detached houses. Many of these have Magnolias in their gardens. If we are lucky, they are in bloom when we visit.

The Magnolia in this Blip is in Mike and Jan's front garden. They live next door but one to us. Next door to them are Alan and Linda. Alan saw me taking this and took a photo, threatening to Blip me taking a Blip. Shame I was in my gardening togs!
