In local news...
"An Australian tourist was injured when a shunting engine demolished a pedestrian overbridge at Dunedin today.
An engine had been shunting a single wagon carrying a container, which was collapsed so it could fit under the footbridge.
The collapsible equipment malfunctioned and part of the container lifted demolishing the bridge as the 17-year-old Australian tourist made her way across.
She suffered minor injuries and was treated at Dunedin Public Hospital."
Whoops...it was a solid bridge too.
I hope the person is ok. There were heaps of people down there just now checking out the damage after it was on the news. It was quite funny watching the multitudes of workmen scurying around in there reflective vests seemingly doing nothing.
The bridge was just out the door from where this blip was taken
