Craigie, Aberdeenshire

Craigie forms part of the name of several farms astride the B999 Aberdeen - Pitmedden - Tarves Road, about 3km east of Newmachar.

I love this cluster of trees that stand on a gorse-covered hillock above the house (just up the Newburgh road) named simply 'Craigie'.

This afternoon, their bare silhouettes looked simply superb against the mixed skies in the beautiful spring light.
