Turning

This is my first attempt at woodturning.

I got a lathe for Christmas in 2009 and this is the first time I've used it. Had to build a workbench first and then bolt it to it.

Quite scary but remembered a wonderful man and sculpture, Keith Mellard (google him He's ace!) saying

"I would rather teach a room full of ladies that one man how to turn. Blokes think it's all about strength but its all about feel and patience"

So took his advice and this is what I came up with.

No idea what it is but it felt and smelled great. Like the wood was breathing again. Think I will do more.
