You cant stop me

Well what a day its been. Besides waking up to the sound of birds chirping happy songs, and the sun breaking over the mountain bathing my house in warmth, it was derby day. Yes, one of the few days in the rugby calendar I look forward to each year. Our old rivals Cardiff were coming to town, and we were not going to take anything for granted.

Both rugby clubs have massive history's against each other, This is the one you do not want to loose, and whoever does lose, feels the pain for a long time. Rivalry burns deep between Cardiff and Newport, and thats what I like. But unlike a wendyball fan, whoever loses has the grace to salute the winner and slope off to lick their wounds.

The game today did not disappoint, we were even treated to an all in brawl which resulted in a player from each side being sin binned. It was nip and tuck for most of the game until near the end when Newport started to edge in front. Cardiff did not give up, they pounded our defence again and again, but it held firm.
