Charlie

So, we went for a ponce around Kendal, armed with cameras and I made sure I was wearign my blipbadge...we had lunch in a middle class eatery to make sure we were doing it right (although I refute, totally, the idea that I am anything but working class)...then I was waylaid by a crowd of people in a shop.

Being naturally inquisitive, I had a look and found some owls! These owls have been resued by a couple and will spend the rest of their days being cared for by them at the Wise Owl World (WOW). This is Charlie, a 'little owl' who lived at a sanctury somewhere else, which closed down. After his home was taken away from him, Charlie was neglected and fed the wrong food, which poisined him. Luckily, he has made a good recovery and the WOW people are tryimg to get him used to people.

You can find WOW at the Elephant Yard in Kendal on Wednesdays and at Hayes Garden World at Ambleside on Saturdays if you would like to meet Charlie. or his friends - there are 12 of them altogether.
