Just another Saturday

Breakfast.

Bit of blogging.

Sundry e-mails.

Slight vacuuming.

Then cycled round town, as you do (well me and many others).

Took photos of a few.

Tested my tweaked '86 Evans. It's amazing what difference a few millimetres make.

Moved back wheel forward. Gears slicker.

Tried to buy some side release buckles for my first Timbuk2 bag. John Lewis, Cloth Shop at Bonnington, Edinburgh Fabrics at St. Patrick's Square.

They only had 25mm, I wanted 20. 5mm is crucial.

Back to buy on trusty ebay.

Reviewed the day's photos. Always a mixture of surprise and disappointment - I often shoot from the waist while riding, framing by experience and instinct. Dull days, rough roads = shaky camera.

Flickred a few, chose this to Blip.

Can't explain. Something about the guy (I'd only been following him for a few yards). His ensemble and demeanour - he's strangely upright while everything else in the photo is leaning.

The faded red runway through the centre - typical Edinburgh cycle lane; dug up and badly piebald patched.

A picture.
