Finished

This is the finished knife i have been making. It started life as a hardened throwing knife. It has been sharpened, that was the easy part. It needed a handle, for me to use it in my work that I do. The handle has been made from a piece of black birch, carved with the same knife. It is held to the knife by 2 dowels, made from a very small wand I had carved some time ago. I thought this to be the best way as it was the way that knives had been made for hundreds of years. Yes, I wanted it to look nice, but this is a very utilitarian knife, used in my craft hopefully for many years to come.
