The Long and the Short of It

The haar hung over the city this morning like an all enveloping damp shroud.
Even the cherry trees in their pink Folies Bergère flounces were reduced to grey aliases as I left for an early sortie to the station to book train tickets for his Lordship and me and our bicycles to the Northern Isles in June.

That I felt I had to book this early was to ensure a space for our steeds lest the allotted spaces for cycles were snapped up by others.

Waverley Station is in the throes of a makeover and the access different every time I go. Today, I found the pedestrian access available but the ticket office with a diversion.
Hopefully the City Fathers will be more successful with the outcome of the enhanced station than they have been with the ghastly Parliament building and the tram fiasco.

With his Lordship beyond reproach in the wilds of the Biggar hills today, I 've had a day of socialising and chat with neighbours, and latterly with family, when Magpie cycled over to the Dower House this afternoon from the far reaches of suburbia.

After lots of this and that chat about family matters, we had much fun and mirth with our two cameras taking this dual blip.
