Virgil's Annaprashan

I was invited to an Annaprashan celebration today for a baby whose birth I had photographed about six months ago. While the baby's parents aren't Hindu, his mother's father spent time in India as a boy with his missionary parents, as well as as an adult in the Peace Corps. He brought many traditions (food, music) back to the states when he returned, and many traditions have stuck with his family over the years.
