Dolomites: meadows

This is what I wrote at the end of the day:

Quite early start - just because we were ready. Walk to Durrenstein hut where we've got our own apartment.
Grassy hillsides, limestone pavements, traverse across craggy bit, pinewoods, meadow. Lots of flowers everywhere. Lovely walk. Sunny, not too hot.
Chamois, marmot, wallcreeper, fieldfare.

Maybe not my best photo of the day but the one that sums it all up best, and I wanted something a bit more gentle after scaring you yesterday - but always those spectacular mountains in the background.
