A " yes" vote that counted for something

My friend Vicky.

One of the school Mums who is on the same wavelength as me ie we don't think that talking about Farrow and Ball paint is interesting and we don't care if Next have a sale on or not.

We discuss running and swear a bit and debate politics and occasionally have been known to do jigsaws together ( rock n roll ).

Went round for a brew after school which stretched into the kids staying for tea which stretched into the inevitable " Shall we have a beer " question.

The answer was a unanimous " yes" and we even became all Hyacinth Bouquet about it and had it in a glass .

Beer.. because sometimes voting " YES " gets you what you want ( unlike in elections ).

A lovely afternoon/evening in the sun, very relaxing and a good start to the weekend.
