Boston Ivy

I find it hard to believe that it must have been at least twenty years since I planted this Boston Ivy. It was a gift from C and was planted long before I began work on the garden, at that time almost entirely lawn, none of which was retained.

It was planted in a raised bed in my front yard - a small curved stone wall on a tarmac base, against an outbuilding, and I have done nothing to it since, not even watered it in recent years. It now encircles the entire outbuilding and grows along the adjoining gates and fences.
