Sobreity

Had an unusual experience tonight in that i went out and remained 100% sober, not a drop passed my lips inspite of much temptation.

On call again for a week but instead of sitting at home sulking went out to see a band with the girls. Great night. This blip should have been much more dynamic the girls were bouncing around waving their hands in the air like women possessed. The band played covers of loads of indie rock bands and were very good indeed.

Right at the end of the night a guy on the doorstep to the pub said my full name which freaked me out for a moment until i realised it was an old friend i'd lost touch with about 16 years ago. We've both changed a lot, he was out with a few others from back when we were all students at Bradford Uni. Great to see them again.

On the way home i had a little reminisce about our student days. I suddenly remembered we had both been sent to Manchester for 6 months to work at a computer hardware suppliers. Dom turned my PC on for me every morning for 3 months and then went off sick forcing me to confess i might have sold thousands of pounds worth of hardware a day but i could n't turn my own pc on. (Don't judge me it was 1995 They hid the switch in those days)

Hope i see them all again soon.
