Roadtrip Day 16: Drive to New Plymouth

Oakura Beach

Beginning the last leg of the trip now we drove north up to New Plymouth. Finally some nicer weather! We stayed at Oakura Beach, a great little surf town just south of New Plymouth. A walk on the beach and then early to bed for a big day tomorrow.

Highly Recommended. If you're in the Taranaki region this may be one of the very best places to stay. It's right on the beach, has all the facilities, and is convenient to New Plymouth and Mt. Taranaki/Egmont.
