Expecting a funnel to drop

Little Big Girl had soccer practice this afternoon. The weather was rather stormy looking but the class is a "rain or shine" event so we went along.

As that storm came in with that swirling bit in the centre I really was wondering if a funnel was going to drop and because storm was coming in exactly our direction I thought we have have a tornado come straight at us.

Luckily we had no tornado but that rain in the background did come over us though. They just kept on playing while the parent just huddled there and got wet, or in my case in shorts and a tshirt I huddled there very cold as the wind and rain pounded the umbrella that I was propping up against the ground into the wind. The other parents got wet but not cold as they had sweaters or jackets but no umbrella... In the meantime the kids just played on.
