Full Crash Stunt
Men in Black 3 (or MIB3 as they kids like to say) is being filmed in my neighborhood this weekend. It is not uncommon for a movie to be shot in my neighborhood, and when there is, it means that a block, or maybe even two, is closed off. This is quite a bit larger production. There's some 200 or so production assistants wandering the streets. After several double-takes, I now know that most people standing on the corner idly this weekend are not neighborhood folk, but production assistants with headsets awaiting orders or preparing to direct traffic.
Apparently, MIB3 is a "prequel", so they are vintage-izing our neighborhood. Which means: vintage cars from the 50s and 60s line the streets; some of the modern green, urban street signs have been replaced with white, more quaint-looking signs from a bygone era; and they have erected a couple 60s style subway station entrances.
I, along with several other Brooklynites snapped photos of several vintage cars, but I opted for this windshield shot of a stunt car that is perhaps destined for the scrap yard after "Crash 7".
