In memory

Today would have been the 59th birthday of my school friend, E. She fought a long hard fight with breast cancer. She was truly brave about what was happening to her and I will always remember how much she laughed throughout her life.

After she died I found out she had left me this paperweight. She had a beautiful collection which she had built up over the years. She had decided to give them to friends. It is such a special memento and the dazzling colours remind me of that laughter and a long term friendship that started when we were 11 years old.
