Down the Rabit Hole

The street located five blocks from me began to sag about six months ago. The city responded a month later by closing the street and only the people who live there could drive there. About a week ago the bottom of the sag dropped away and has continued to so. The sides, of cource, expand away from the center and the hole still seems to have no bottom. Somehow I sense a rise in my city taxes. I don't know what happens in the near-by houses when a drain is used.
