Almost Bare Mountains

I had such a surprise when I saw the mountains this morning. Practically all the snow had gone! So close to the shortest day too. Large

The old compact wasn't going to do justice to the scene and I tried my main camera. It worked! However, the fault is intermittent, and it fails more often than opens.

This afternoon my son took FirehorseMia home. She has work tomorrow. I was so sad to see her go. Since last Monday's quake her house is much more damaged than before. Travelling to and from work is stressful, time consuming and tiring for her. And the aftershocks continue.
