Green fingers...or not...

I woke up today feeling like doing something active and useful. We're having a bit of a party in a couple of weeks and want to use the garden if the weather's nice so I figured I'd get out and make a start on it. I really like gardening so it seemed a happy way to spend the afternoon.

I thought I'd start by mowing the very overgrown lawn. The flymo started with enthusiasm, however 2 seconds into the job it started smoking. I now have one broken lawnmower.

Tomorrow I'm going to sit on the couch and watch dvds all day. I've learned my lesson.
