National Festival of Music
Firstly I'd like to apologize for the back blip, I got home fairly late last night after a long day and fell asleep shortly after editing.
I spent the majority of today on a coach. I'm not going to lie, I can think of a thousand things i'd prefer be doing. But I was on the way to Birmingham Symphony Hall to play with one of my orchestras in the National Festival of Music for Youth, we'd got through the first round.
Unfortunately as it was a 6.5 hour journey up there and we played almost as soon as we got of the coach, I think everyone believed it wasn't the best we'd played. But then left an hour and a half later, so it's hard to decide if it was worth it. It was all good fun though, and it'd be nice to hear we got through to the Royal Albert Hall. But I don't think that many of us would be surprised if we didn't haha.
We did stay for the adjudication though, the other orchestras present had all played too, but because we'd travelled the furthest, played last and arrived when we did, we didn't get to hear any of the competition. But judging from the comments, they all played very well. However it was well noted that we played by far the hardest piece, and the adjudicators themselves said it was hard. And apparently we pulled it off, and got no critism, so we'll see where it leads.
This was just a quick photo I took as we were leaving Birmingham, sorry it's boring.
Sorry again about the backblip xx
