And so began the annual visit to Kildonan, Arran. This time there were eight of us in the unfeasibly small but accommodating house.

Lots of mucking about in the evening on the beach followed by the first of six games of Scrabble over the week.

Not one to brag, but who won every game? By the end of the week the pressure to remain the victor became overwhelming and I was close to cracking.
