Top Team.....

...I'm so proud of my boys...they turned out 500 meat and veggie burgers tonight with military precision, what a team!! Huzah Huzah Huazh!!

Occasionally, I get involved in socially inclusive activities and with the annual St Mary's School BBQ about to fold for want of an organiser, I stepped in three weeks ago. Much persuading and blackmailing later, I had a team of helpers and suppliers ready to go today......usual stresses, e.g. Valvona and Crolla had forgotten to bake 450 burger rolls and didn't tell me until I phoned to chase them up at 4pm......WTF?

However, nonesense aside one half of Salsa Celtica turned up to provide the funked-up tunes (nice one lads), the kiddies DJ from heaven pumped up the cheese through in the senior school playground, and sublime international food supplied by mums from Poland, South America, Spain, India, Pakistan, Italy and Scotland poured in...and we had the making of a great evening. Great fun and great memories. I think I'm penciled in to run it next year.

Had to pray furiously to the sun god for a respite from the rain, but we got 5 hours of warm, slightly humid weather....perfect. Nice one Ra!!

So, I'm sitting here writing this blip with a bottle of Northern Lights from the Orkney Brewery in front of me and feeling quietly satisfied with my contribution to society today.

I'm of to Londonium tomorrow for some work and a visit to Chez McDawg. Laters folks
