Jaymin Nam
Today I went to a Yankees game with Jaymin, Dan, and Wes. Although I have many elaborate pictures of the stadium before the rain began to pour, and many pictures afterwards where we ate the best philly cheesesteak in New York, I choose to upload this picture because it is a symbol.
In many ways it compliments my good friend Cecile's entry for June 15, because it is one that symbolizes love, friendship, trust and all the adjectives that go with having an intimate connection with a human being of the opposite sex.
Here Jay is sitting talking to Cecile. "They say that when you meet the love of your life, time stops." I think it can be established that these two define the meaning of that phrase.
After all this time, these two still inspire me to do my best in everything. I owe them for everything they have inspired me to do - grasp my future, not give up, to believe in myself, but most importantly, to believe that love exists.
But what is not told, is that when it starts again, it moves extra fast to catch up.
So time passes quickly; doubts, questions, plague our minds. But I think the important thing to distinguish is that there is never "who can hurt less, who needs the other" because in a relationship it is equal, whether it be friendship or love. My pain is the other's pain, their pain is mine. And we don't get anywhere in this world without help, so in a way, we all need each other in an equal way because sometimes, one can't just wake up the next day without knowing they are not alone; there is always someone to help, always someone there for comfort.
so to the girl (without the boy) who wonders, it's time to forget those foolish questions. Just trust.
