The Pugilist

This guy has put himself through the ringer over the years (the West Highland Way = 93 miles in 19 hours non-stop to him).

Aged 30 he decided to take on his first boxing bout. Fighting for Leith Victoria club, today he fought some youngster from Edinburgh Sparta at the Hibs club in Leith. He wiped the floor with him over 3 rounds with a series of jabs and crosses that the youngster did well to absorb.

Split decision found in favour of the Sparta lad. A Sparta event with Sparta chosen judges. 14 Sparta fighters on show. 1 Leith Vics on show.

Ahh well, unlucky Paddy - the crowd had you down as the winner.
