My old childhood friend Johanna realised a dream and, together with approx. 15 friends, bought this old mansion an hour outside Berlin. It's huge, with lots of land, and quite a bit of work to be done... still, for 175,000 euros, us Scots consider this a real bargain.

Had a lovely day out in the back garden and then by the lake - it's confirmed, I am a lake lover! Being out in the middle of it, surrounded by nothing but cool water and forest - magical.
