Experiment With Motion

With Ramadan in full swing, there isn't really much to do here so we packed our snorkelling gear for a trip to Sawadi. I took some lovely photos today but in the end the only one I could really pick was this one.

I'm trying to get my shot repertoire up so read a little about panning and thought I'd give it a shot. I managed this shot of after eleven extremely unsuccessful attempts and before fifteen even more unsuccessful ones.

Any tips from those in the know as to how to reduce the 'fluke' factor with panning would be appreciated.
