Soft Detail ...

I have been taking some photographs this morning of a dandelion seedhead as I am entering my local Camera Clubs competition tomorrow night and decided to use this image.

Fingers crossed I do well, last week with my competition entry I did ok but ... this is the image I decided to use, my blip called
Get Me , the judge said he thought it was a lovely image, but a little soft on the dof and that he didnt like any image in a black mount,(guess what colour mount I had, haha black). But other memebers were saying that flowers look better with a soft dof, giving the soft feel of a flower. I just kept quiet (thats a first, haha)

He was a bit of a stern man, but I took his comments with my tail between my legs and little upset but still happy with my image. He was not very nice about anyones work really. I am so glad he only comes to our club once every other month. Most of the judges are very honest but nice with it.

I thought it was quite a reasonable shot afterall, but in the end I came 13th out of 26 entries last week, so at least I came half way to winning.
