Armed and dangerous

We seem to have avoided the forecast snow here so far. In fact today was absolutely glorious, if very COLD. The frost barely lifted all day, but this afternoon we still took a trip out to Blanchland, a beautiful village that is only a short drive from here. It was -1 on the way home, brrr! Despite the cold, Grace seemed to enjoy crunching through the autumn leaves in the abbey grounds.
